I have worked at Burnhope for over fourteen years and during that time I have had the pleasure of working throughout the school from Nursery right through to year six with a range of roles and responsibilities.
I feel that this range of experience has given me an in-depth, practical knowledge of the curriculum and the children’s educational needs.
Over the years I have worked with many children, their siblings, cousins and relatives. I have also got to know many of our families and have developed good working relationships with them in order to further support their children in school. Our children, their well being and our school matter to me greatly.
I am proud to be a member of the school team and consider myself to be honest, reliable and understand the importance of confidentiality. I feel that I am well organised, a good communicator and will be able to transfer these skills in the role of Staff Governor.
As a member of the governing body, I feel that I can use my experience, knowledge and personal skills, to contribute to the decision making within the governing body and to build strong links between the governing body and the staff of our school. I can be a supportive representative of the staff, in making decisions and implementing actions to benefit our school and its children.
